Casa Myrna, Dorchester

Casa Myrna delivers solutions to end domestic and dating violence through intervention, awareness, and prevention.

Casa Myrna is Boston’s largest provider of shelter and supportive services to survivors of domestic violence, providing safety, resources, advocacy and information since 1977. They operate SafeLink, the statewide domestic violence hotline, and promote domestic and dating violence prevention through awareness and education. All of their supports are provided to survivors free of charge. Casa Myrna supports ALL survivors regardless of race, ethnicity, language, national origin, religion, sex, gender identity or expression, disability, age, or sexual orientation.

“Receiving donations such as books, toys, formula, and household items are a huge lifesaver for our agency and participants. We often take for granted how small everyday things are impactful for survivors of abuse or individuals with trauma.

This past year thanks to the toys and goods we received from Storytime Crafts we were able to provide Santa in our holiday party an item to give to all of the kids who attended the party. For some it was their first ever time interacting with Santa for others it was a fun thing to do, but overall, it is now a fond memory that they will cherish forever.”
